Our Training Methods
While we have a model of what we teach in each of our training programs, it is then customized to your dog and situation. Every dog (and human!) is different and as such, will respond differently with certain training methods. Our trainers are not limited to one training method, they utilize all 4 quadrants of learning so that we can do what is best for your dog and your family. Our training is commitment-based, which means that we will work with you to achieve your training goals, but that also means that you/your family will need to stay consistent with your trainer's instructions. You are the one that has to coexist with your pup for the rest of their life, consistency is key!
Our trainers utilize Martin System electronic collars, which are designed for both the handler and the dog. There are unique patents that benefit your dog (lightweight, breathable, waterproof collar, contact measuring system, addition contact points) and you (finger kick, bluetooth connection, mobile app, peace of mind, etc). Read more about why we love Martin System. Not every program is designed for electronic collar training, and they are not required. However, some of your goals may be reached in a shorter time with this training tool than it would with treats and toys alone.
Day Training
Drop your pup off with us twice a week to work on basic obedience and socialization goals for your lifestyle. You will receive homework from your trainer to continue working with your pup the other 5 days of the week!
Board and Train
Your pup will stay with us for the duration of their training to work on behavior and obedience goals. You will receive updates throughout their stay on their progress, and will have a go home lesson to go over the training and begin the transition back to a new normal.
Behavior problem prevention
All too often, good dogs are seen as hostile and given up at the pound simply because they've developed some behavior problems. We can help rehabilitate your pup and improve those behaviors that bring you and them the most anxiety. Our problem prevention classes are ideal for ending:
